Changes have been proposed to police service boards in the Ottawa Valley.
Final proposals have been sent to the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
Deputy Clerk for the Town of Petawawa Clerk, Dawn Recoskie, told members of council, the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP detachment area would be split into three police service boards.
Pembroke would have their own, Petawawa would have their own and Laurentian Hills, Laurentian Valley and the United Townships of Head Clara and Maria would have a combined police service board.
Admaston/Bromley and Whitewater Region plan to join police service boards with the Renfrew OPP detachment.
The proposal would also see North Algona Wilberforce join police service boards within the Killaloe OPP detachment area.
