The boat launch at the Petawawa Point will close for several days next week.
Director of Community Services with the Town of Petawawa, Kelly Williams, says it’s the perfect time to do the repairs with the water levels so low.
Williams says over the years the concrete has come apart which can make it difficult for boaters to launch.
Work at the Petawawa Point Boat Launch is expected to start Tuesday (June 22nd, 2021) and take four to five days to complete.
While repairs are underway, the boat launch will be closed, however the public can use other nearby launches such as the one at the Jubilee Lodge and Marina on Garrison Petawawa, the Petawawa River boat launch at Black Bay or at the Pembroke Marina.
