The Town of Deep River is in the process of rebranding.
The marketing implementation plan and new brand was adopted as part of the council meeting last night (June 23rd, 2021).
The rebranding was an initiative the Deep River Marketing Task Force has been working on since being developed in 2019.
An online and phone survey were conducted to get feedback on the rebranding process.
From the town survey, residents mentioned the new brand should be vibrant and warm, modern, simple, and natural.
The circular formation of the leaves is designed to signify the bonds between people, with a vibrant colour pattern to celebrate the diversity of the town and relationship with nature.
Mayor Sue D’Eon says it’s been many decades, if ever, since Deep River has had a new brand. The Deep River Mayor adds this brand and marketing proposal will help move them forward and grow as a small town.
Town councillor and member of the Deep River Marketing Task Force, Kathy Hughes, encourages everyone to look at the story behind the logo, which she hopes everyone can celebrate and be proud of.
Reeve Glenn Doncaster says it’s an exciting time to be in Deep River, talking about development, the revitalization of a major local employer and rebranding the community.
A new Town of Deep River sign has already been set up as the municipality begins the rebranding process.
