The Pembroke Regional Hospital (PRH) is thanking the public for their patience and understanding after several booking issues resulted in long lineups outside the COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the PMC today (June 28th, 2021).
Public Affairs and Communications Coordinator Carolyn Levesque says the booking issues resulted in a larger than normal number of people with appointments arriving at the Pembroke Memorial Centre (PMC) and creating a lengthy backlog at the entrance, on one of the hottest days we’ve had.
Levesque said they tried to move the line as quickly as possible, while identifying and expediting the wait for those with health and mobility issues and providing some hydration for those waiting in line through the distribution of popsicles.
Those unable to wait were also given the option of being booked into another upcoming clinic.
Residents in Renfrew County and District are reminded to visit the Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) website at www.rcdhu.com for the latest information.
