The City of Pembroke will be going ahead with a fireworks show in August. This week, city council lifted the noise by-law for August 7th to allow for fireworks at Riverside Park from dusk until approximately 10:30 p.m. You’ll recall that Parks and recreation manager Ron Conroy noted to council weeks ago that they are working to host a drive-thru concert featuring River Town Saints and Lemon Cash. Conroy felt it would be a great ending to the day to hold the postponed fireworks display at dusk following the afternoon show.
