The Township of Madawaska Valley is removing a raft from the Wadsworth Beach, between Barry’s Bay and Combermere, after staff were made aware that deliberate damage was done in an attempt to sink it.
The township says vandalism of public property is an ongoing issue and there are financial and non-financial costs as a result of wilful damage.
In a post on social media, Madawaska Valley is reaching out to the community in an effort to put a stop to vandalism.
Residents are encouraged to report any vandalism on municipal property to 613-756-2747 or file a complaint through the township website.
