Subway in Petawawa is getting more parking.
A site plan application for the parking lot expansion was approved by council on Monday night (September 13th, 2021).
A total of 22 parking spaces, made up of 10 new spaces and 12 existing spaces, has been proposed.
Council raised safety concerns about parking in the front Subway and how it’s difficult and dangerous for vehicles backing out onto Petawawa Boulevard.
The main access to the parking areas will continue to be between Subway and the Kia dealership.
A fence would also be installed to provide privacy between the adjacent home and the new parking lot.
