The Network 24 Ontario Health Team is coming together from previous applications in the Ottawa Valley (Highway 60, Upper Ottawa Valley and North Renfrew).
A new name will be selected once the development of the Ontario Health Team is complete.
The Network 24 Ontario Health Team will stretch from Renfrew to Deep River and includes Pembroke, Petawawa, Eganville, Cobden, Barry’s Bay and South Algonquin Township.
The Finance and Administration Committee is recommending to County Council that the County of Renfrew serve as the funding recipient for the Network 24 Ontario Health Team.
These arrangements would only be for the initial implementation period.
The Four Rivers Ontario Health Team would include Arnprior, Almonte, Carleton Place, North Grenville and areas west of Woodroffe Avenue in Ottawa.
Ontario Health Teams are being established to provide better integrated care, especially to those with complex medical issues, by breaking down walls that exist between health organizations and geographic areas, as well as to reduce bureaucracy.
The expectation is that this will allow patients, families, and providers to connect and navigate across the system more easily.
