Local residents have a chance to comment and submit feedback on a proposed arboretum at the Waterfront Park in Pembroke.
Councillor Brian Abdallah says everyone is invited to come out to the proposed site of the arboretum at the Waterfront Park on Friday, November 5th at 3:00pm.
He adds no reservations are required and you’ll have an opportunity to learn more about the project.
Some of the proposed features include a bird habitat, pop-up dining, a solar powered fountain to enhance the space for everyone at the Waterfront Park in Pembroke.
Abdallah says there will also be room to host events, midways and concerts at the arboretum.
Abdallah says if all goes according to plan, work on the proposed arboretum would start when the snow melts in the spring of 2022.
Council endorsed plans for the arboretum earlier this summer as part of a centennial project from the local Kinsmen Club and Horticultural Society.
Residents can also get more information about the project and submit feedback to Councillor Abdallah (babdallah@pembroke.ca) or Deputy Mayor Ron Gervais (rgervais@pembroke.ca).
On November 5 at 3 p.m., members of the public are invited to a site visit at the Waterfront's proposed arboretum site…
