The Town of Petawawa still has some spots left for the free skates on New Year’s Eve (December 31st, 2021).
Director of Community Services Kelly Williams says they’re able to host the skates with capacity restrictions, masking requirements, proof of vaccination for those over the age of 12 and other COVID-19 safety guidelines in place.
Williams says hosting events during a pandemic presents a number of challenges.
He adds it’s nice to be able to offer local residents something to stay active over the holiday season.
If you plan to attend the holiday skate at the Civic Centre in Petawawa on New Years Eve, there is no cost to attend, but registration is required.
The 2:00pm to 3:00pm time slot is currently full, but you can still register from 4:00pm to 5:00pm or 6:00pm to 7:00pm.
You can register for the public skating at the Civic Centre online here.
