The City of Pembroke has approved revisions to phase 5 of the Johnston Meadows Subdivision which includes 166 units.
Original draft approval for the subdivision was received in August of 1993, amended again in 1999, 2004, 2008 and 2010.
The changes apply to phase 5 of the subdivision which consists of 38 lots for single detached or semi-detached dwellings, nine blocks for row houses, a parkland block and two additional residential lots.
The proposed changes will increase the frontage of 30 of the existing lots along Sheppard Avenue and Street “A” to a minimum of 20 metres (65.6 feet) in order to accommodate both single and semi-detached dwelling houses.
The revision will result in an increase from 106 to 122 residential dwelling units.
The 9 blocks dedicated for rowhouses will include a total of 47 rowhouse units with no proposed changes.
A Subdivision Agreement is still required for the development of Phase 5 of the Johnston Meadows Subdivision.
The report presented to council Tuesday night (February 1st, 2022), says the subdivision will have suitable infrastructure such as municipal services, roads, firefighting, library, recreation areas and nearby schools.
The proposed development would be on full city services and will be built adjacent to the
existing built-up area on Boundary Road and Phases 1 to 4 in Johnston Meadows
Subdivision.
Full municipal servicing will be utilized for the proposed development.
