Plans to develop a multi-residential housing project in the west-end of Pembroke are moving forward.
Last week, the County of Renfrew Community Services Department heard that six contractors showed up for the mandatory site meeting at the property located at the corner of Lea Street and Douglas Street in Pembroke.
Out of the six contractors that showed up for the site meeting, two were local, another two were from around Toronto, one was from Ottawa and another from Gatineau.
The project details were reviewed and the opportunity was given for preliminary questions and site inspection.
Interested contractors have until February 25th to submit a bit on the multi-residential housing project.
The intention is to build a minimum of six, two bedroom units that are fully accessible and can accommodate both seniors and disabled adults.
The complex will have a dedicated area for PSW’s and community paramedics to use with construction expected to start this spring and be complete by March 31st of 2023.
