Owner of Pure Canadian Candle Co. raising money and cutting hair for CHEO

Pure Canadian Candle Company, located in downtown Pembroke, is doing a fundraiser for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) in Ottawa. Owner Krista Cliche says she has four special scented candles and $5 from each purchase will go to CHEO.

The four scents include cotton candy, skittles, bubblegum, and fruit loops.

Cliche also plans to cut off 15 to 16 inches of her own hair and donate it for kids at CHEO. She adds it’s not something she’s ever done before and has already booked the hair appointment at Landella in Renfrew.

Cliche says you can donate in store or online to support the cause.

The fundraiser will continue until May 4th, 2022.

Cliche says as a mother of five she says she always wanted to give back to CHEO.

Money raised during the fundraiser will go to Hair Donation Ottawa. Hair Donation Ottawa raises funds for cutting-edge cancer care and research at CHEO and empowers kids with hair loss by providing them with free wigs.
