There’s not much currently happening at the old Petawawa Plaza Shopping Centre off of Victoria Avenue. Petawawa Mayor Bob Sweet says he is very pleased to see movement on the old plaza and adds the Town is looking forward to working with the owner to see how they can enhance the facility.
Sweet tells myFM he can’t comment on what new stores or businesses might be going in until site plans and building permits have been approved, but adds three facilities have been spoken for.
The long-time Mayor for the Town says he hopes to see the Petawawa Plaza return to its once glory to be another alternative for shopping in the community.
The retail shopping centre located at 20 Wolfe Avenue in Petawawa was once a busy spot that could accommodate over a dozen stores, but is now empty for the most part, with the exception of Rick’s Pet Store and Burnt Bridge Quality Meats.
