Residents in Laurentian Valley can expect to pay slightly more on their municipal tax bills in 2022.
A report presented to council on Tuesday night (May 3rd, 2022) shows the tax rate impact.
With education tax rates and the County of Renfrew tax rate now set, the impact for Laurentian Valley homeowners will be $20.06 per $100,000 assessment or a total impact of 2.10%.
Laurentian Valley Council passed the budget for 2022 on December 14th, 2021.
Laurentian Valley Treasurer Charlene Jackson says the overall tax rate in 2021 went up by 3.95% compared to 2.1% this year.
Jackson adds the sewer tax rate impact in 2022 works out to an increase of 0.51% for an impact of $1.31 per $100,000 in assessment.
A tax rate by-law will be brought forward to the May 17th, 2022, Laurentian Valley council meeting for approval.
