Shoeboxes filled with medical supplies are being collected for people in Ukraine. Facilitating organizer Sheena Lubitz says she’s looking to collect for a number of different age groups.
Lubitz says she’s hoping to collect 1,000 shoeboxes.
She says it’s a good learning opportunity for children and also helps people in need.
Shoeboxes can be dropped off at Zion Lutheran Church in Pembroke (454 Miller Street) on May 27th from 4:00pm to 9:00pm and again on May 28th from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
On the top of the shoeboxes you’re asked to write what’s inside whether it’s medical supplies, arts and crafts and what age group.
Suggested items for shoeboxes are listed below and available online.
