The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP is partnering with the Petawawa Police Service Board and the Garrison Petawawa Military Police to host a Mega RIDE Program.
The Mega RIDE Program will target impaired drivers.
Motorists should expect to encounter roadside checkpoints throughout Petawawa on Friday, June 3, 2022.
Members of the police service board and community volunteers will join police at the checkpoints and provide gifts to sober drivers.
This Mega RIDE Program is sponsored by MacDougall Insurance.
Drivers are urged not to drink and/or consume drugs and drive, to plan ahead, appoint a designated driver, take a taxi, or spend the night.
