A fire on Centre Street in Pembroke has displaced a family of seven.
Fire Chief Scott Selle says crews were called out around 10:00am on Tuesday, June 7th, 2022.
Upon arrival, Chief Selle says smoke and flames were visible from the garage which was attached to the home.
Smoke was also seen coming from the eaves and roof of the home.
Initial reports indicated the occupants were in the home at the time of the fire.
The Pembroke Fire Chief says everyone evacuated when they were notified by their daughter who just arrived home.
One person received medial attention from arriving crews and was transported to hospital by paramedics.
Firefighters attempted to bring the fire under control while simultaneously conducting a search of the residence to ensure all occupants were out.
The Pembroke Fire Chief says the blaze spread into the attic of the home quickly and adds it took 19 full time and volunteer firefighters to bring this fire under control.
An investigation is underway into the cause and origin of the fire.
