The Petawawa Sports and Entertainment Hall of Fame will induct five people in 2022. The Petawawa Sports and Entertainment Hall of Fame is located at the Civic Centre and inducts classes every two years. Deputy Mayor Gary Serviss says the first event was in 2018 and the ceremony in 2020 was postponed due to COVID-19.
Serviss says the 2020 inductees are Tracy Annand (Alpine Skier), Hector Clouthier Sr. (Horse Racing), Brian Mohns (Builder), Ed Chow (Builder), and Joshua Bartholomew (Music).
Serviss says tickets can be purchased from committee members, at the community services office at the Civic Centre or at the door the night of the event. He adds after this years induction ceremony they will be looking ahead to 2024.
This year, the induction ceremony will take place as part of the Town of Petawawa’s 25th anniversary celebrations. The Petawawa Sports and Entertainment Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, June 30th, 2022.
