The team at Home Depot in Pembroke has built two new gazebos for the arboretum site at the Waterfront Park. The work was completed on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022.
Assistant Store Manager at the Pembroke Home Depot, Tammie Tubman, says this is the first on-site community build they’ve been able to do since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
She says the one gazebo by the Book Tree was the store display and staff assembled the other gazebo.
Tubman says it’s a team effort with staff helping out from a number of different store departments.
Tubman says they’re happy to give back to the community.
Earlier this month, a volunteer army helped plant 26 trees at the new arboretum site in Pembroke. A new book tree has also been installed with benches available for anyone to enjoy.
