Where there’s a need, a solution will often RISE.
That’s Angie Flowers, whose newly created RISE Support Day Program helping people with intellectual disabilities is centrally located in Pembroke.
Flowers tells myFM that community support for a fundraiser on June 24 was incredible, raising $5,200 to upgrade their Pembroke location.
The plan for the influx of cash is to upgrade their facilities.
Flowers adds that RISE has a full slate of activities and events for clients of the program, and that a monthly schedule can be found on their Facebook page.
The program’s activities are geared towards adults, but interest has been so strong in the RISE Support Program that Flowers is hoping to add activities for intellectually disabled children in the near future.
Find that schedule of events and learn how you can get involved on the RISE Support Program facebook page.
