The 7th annual Multicultural Festival in Pembroke has a full schedule of events planned on Saturday, August 20th.
The Multicultural Festival will be hosted at the Waterfront Park in Pembroke and is free to attend.
CEO of the Pembroke Public Library Karthi Rajamani says it’s a celebration of culture and diversity in our community.
The fun starts at 10:00am with opening ceremonies and will continue until 7:00pm.
Circulation and IT Coordinator Anna Ritza says the food vendors will open up at 11:00am and offer a wide range of options from a number of different countries around the world.
Volunteer coordinator Simon says the craft and vendor show will have something for everyone.
The day will be filled with live performances, local musicians, food trucks and booths, a bouncy castle, henna tattoos, living statues, dance workshops, kite racing, local vendors, drummers and more.

11:00am to 12:00pm – Seniors Caribbean Dance Workshop
12:00pm to 3:00pm – Music, Dance and Magic Shows
3:30pm to 4:30pm – Family Workshops
5:00pm to 7:00pm – Evening Performances (including accordion music, African drumming, belly-dancing, break-dancing, Bollywood dancing, Chinese music and dancing, Columbian Dancing, Indigenous drumming, Mongolian Dancing, rhythmic gymnastics, sword dancing, Tibetan dancing and Ukrainian dancing)
