Thousands of people attended the Multicultural Festival in Pembroke’s Waterfront Park. It was the 7th annual event hosted by the Pembroke Public Library, but the first time the festival moved outside. CEO of the Pembroke Public Library Karthi Rajamani says the day was a huge success and is thanking the community for their support.
Rajamani is already looking ahead to next year to see how the festival can grow.
The CEO of the Pembroke Public Library says they could have more events, activities and fun with a two day festival.
Temperatures were up in the mid 30’s with the humidex on Saturday, but that didn’t stop large crowds of people from showing up. The rain started with four performances left in the evening and while some people left, others stayed and joined in for a closing dance in the amphitheater. The Multicultural Festival featured live performances, workshops, a food truck and vendor show, a living statue, bouncy castles and much more.
