Andrew Plummer is running for re-election on Pembroke City Council. Plummer has served on council for two terms (8-years). Plummer says council and staff have worked to improve local infrastructure, but knows there’s still some work to do.
Plummer has four key priorities including affordable housing, infrastructure, jobs and keeping taxes under control.
Plummer notes there has not been one new affordable housing unit built in the County of Renfrew or City of Pembroke in the last 10-years with over 1,200 families on the waiting list.
Plummer is proposing the Pembroke Affordable Housing Initiative that would see the city partner with developers to build affordable housing units in Pembroke.
