The City of Pembroke and local legion held a wreath laying ceremony this morning at the cenotaph.
Pembroke Mayor Michael LeMay says this is one way to help honour the Queen and transition to a new King.
Pembroke Legion President Stan Halliday says Canada was like a second home to Queen Elizabeth II.
Halliday says he remembers in elementary school when they transitioned from singing God Save the King to God Save the Queen.
If you were not able to attend the wreath laying ceremony, the City of Pembroke also has a book of condolences available that will be sent to the Royal Family.
