Lisa Coutu is running for a seat on Petawawa Town Council. Coutu moved to Petawawa 10-years ago, is a volunteer in the community and since going to law school has a new passion for law and governance and wants the help the town grow. Coutu says a vote for her is a vote for someone who wants to hear from you and make a difference.
Coutu says Petawawa needs more facilities, health care services and businesses. Coutu wants Petawawa to host more festivals and offer more programs, sports, community spaces, employment and social supports .

Coutu is a supporter of Pride and public proclamations adding the town’s policy on flag raising should be reconsidered. She also believes in food security and would like to see backyard hens allowed for residents connected to town services.
Coutu is one of the candidates running for a seat on Petawawa Town Council. Other candidates running in the October 24th Municipal Election are Simon Brooks, James Carmody, Karen Donovan, Adam Driscoll, Gerald Hoffman, Matthew Mclean, Cyndi Mills, Murray Rutz, Theresa Sabourin and Barry Schimmens.
Gary Serviss and Jody Anne McDonald are the two candidates running to replace long-time Petawawa Mayor Bob Sweet.
