COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: Food Drive at Three Locations in Pembroke on Saturday

The local OPP will be teaming up with the Pembroke Lumber Kings this Saturday to host a community food drive to support the St. Joseph’s Food Bank.

Constable Mike Mahon says that there will be police cruisers and officers along with Lumber Kings players waiting to accept donations at three locations this weekend.

Mahon says that you can bring any non-perishable food, toiletry items or monetary donations to one of the three locations.

The OPP’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee encourages people to come out and support their local food bank this Saturday, October 22, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

The Lumber Kings and OPP will be accepting your donations at Walmart Superstore (1108 Pembroke St. East), Metro Pembroke (425 Pembroke St. East), and Steven and Julie’s No Frills (1200 Pembroke St. West)

This is a great way to give back to families in our community just in time for the Christmas season by donating what you can to the St. Joseph’s Community Food Bank.
