The Laurentian Valley Community Garden season is coming to an end.
This year, the Community Gardens raised a total of $310 in support of the St. Joseph’s Foodbank.
There are 16 plots available at the first community garden located at Shady Nook Recreation Centre and there are 18 plots available at the second community garden located at Alice & Fraser Recreation Centre for a total of 34 garden plots.
If you are interested in renting a garden plot at either of these locations during the next season, there are two plot sizes available to rent.
8’x12’ plot for $10
12’x12’ plot for $20
All proceeds go towards supporting the St. Joseph’s food bank and this is a great way to give back to the community while growing fresh food for family and friends.
