Downtown Pembroke is taking part in a Warrior Walkabout.
Bethea Summers, the Manager of the Pembroke Business Improvement Area (PBIA), says eleven storefronts downtown are showing art from the Valley Veterans Art group.
This is the first downtown Pembroke has done the Warrior Walkabout. Summers says they were approached by a retired military member and art therapist who has been working with veterans using art to overcome Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
There is a map and a pamphlet available at the PBIA office, at Purviss Gallery, City Hall and on Facebook.
The Warrior Walk downtown Pembroke started November 1st and displays will be up until November 14th.
