The Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB) says students will switch back to virtual learning next week if education workers go on strike.
Earlier today, the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) gave notice that 55,000 education workers would be in a position to strike on Monday, November 21st.
The RCDSB says if no deal is reached between the province and CUPE, all students will move to asynchronous learning on Monday and synchronous learning on Tuesday. Chromebooks will be sent home with RCDSB students who need them starting on Monday (Nov. 21st).
CUPE represents secretaries, custodians and administrative staff at RCDSB schools.
