The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP, Petawawa Police Service Board and Garrison Petawawa Military Police are hosting a Mega RIDE program on Friday, December 2nd.
Expect to see roadside checkpoints throughout the town with members of the police service board handing out gifts to sober drivers.
Drivers are urged not to drink and/or consume drugs and drive, plan ahead and appoint a designated driver, take a taxi, or spend the night.
A Mega RIDE program held earlier this summer in Petawawa saw 600 vehicles checked with no impaired drivers.
