The County of Renfrew Paramedics will be hosting two food and toy drives this weekend in support of local charity organizations.
The first drive will be held at in Renfrew at Walmart (980 O’Brien Road) on Saturday, December 3rd from 9:00am to 5:00pm. This will be in support of the Renfrew and Area Food Bank.
The second drive will be held in Pembroke at Walmart (1108 Pembroke Street East) on Sunday, December 4th from 9:00am to 5:00pm. This will be in support of The Kiwanis Club of Pembroke, St. Joseph’s Food Bank, and The Petawawa Pantry.
Paramedics will be on-site to collect monetary donations, new unwrapped toys, and non-perishable food items.
Over the past 11 years, the County of Renfrew Paramedic Service has collected nearly $27,000 in monetary donations, 6,738 food items and 3,489 toys to help families in need in the area.
The OPP is also having the 14th annual “Stuff a Cruiser” food and toy drive on Saturday, December 3rd from 10:00am to 3:00pm at Walmart, Metro and No Frills in Pembroke, and Independent Grocers in Petawawa.
