The Pembroke Kiwanis Food and Toy Drive virtual telethon is taking place this week. Producer Dorian Pearce says the event is Friday, December 9th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
Pearce says the virtual telethon will include performances from local musicians and dance studios, interviews with community leaders and a little bit of gossip about what’s going on around town.
Pearce says there will be a phone number to call or a button to click while watching the telethon to easily make a donation.
Dez Bair-Patel, Manager at Integrated Health Centre and Chair of the Phoenix Centre, will host the 2022 telethon.
You can watch the virtual telethon on Friday and make a donation online here.
Volunteers have been set up at the Pembroke Mall collecting donations as part of the Kiwanis Christmas Food and Toy Drive since November 16th with a goal to raise $40,000 to $50,000. Cash donations or toys can be dropped off at the Pembroke Mall until December 22nd.
