The Pembroke Symphony Orchestra will play a Christmas Special at Festival Hall this weekend. The show will start at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 10th.
Laura Vokey, Principle Second Violin, says it’s a family friendly show with kids 12 and under getting in for free.
Vokey says they will be playing excerpts from Messiah with the Pembroke Community Choir, Mozart Symphony No. 31, seasonal favourites and sing-alongs.
Mehdi Javanfar, the Music Director and Conductor, will oversee the Christmas Special which will also include solo performances from Jessica Belanger and Allison Houston.
Vokey says the COVID-19 pandemic was difficult for the Pembroke Symphony Orchestra and adds they are excited to be back performing at Festival Hall.
