Local police have confirmed the identity of a homicide victim in Deep River. On Sunday night (December 11th, 2022), shortly before 8:30pm, officers were called out to a home on Rutherford Avenue in Deep River and found one person deceased. Police have now identified the victim as 39-year-old Sommer Boudreau of Deep River.
The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP and Deep River Police Service have charged 41-year-old Adam Rossi from Deep River with second degree murder and indignity to a body. The accused remains in custody with a court date in Pembroke tomorrow (December 15th).
The investigation is ongoing and led by the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch with support from the Deep River Police Service, the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service, the OPP Forensic Identification Services, Emergency Response Team, Regional Support Team and the Crime Unit.
