Over $10,000 was raised when the Stanley Cup stopped in Petawawa with the Allard family.
Hundreds of visitors stopped by the Petawawa Civic Centre on August 30th, 2022, when Sean Allard, the Skills Development Coach for the Colorado Avalanche, and his family brought the Stanley Cup to town.
Allard grew up in Petawawa and played hockey with the Petawawa Patriots and Pembroke Lumber Kings.
Donations were accepted at the event that will allow the Petawawa Fundraising Committee to support future initiatives on the Civic Centre grounds.
The Town of Petawawa says planning will take place on how the $10,000 will be spent to best serve and benefit the community.
