As local food banks weather their busiest time of the year, police officers in Pontiac are pitching in.
A group of officers with the Sûreté du Québec’s Pontiac detachment spent some time recently to help distribute a large number of Christmas food baskets put together by Bouffe Pontiac in Campbell’s Bay to people in need within the community.
Sergeant Nicolas Tremblay, who led the effort, was also able to hand over a thousand dollars which was raised to assist the food bank during it’s annual busy period.
Bouffe Pontiac accepts donations year round, you can find out how to donate on their website (available in both English and French) or by calling 819-648-2550.
