The Kitchissippi-Ottawa Valley Chapter of the Council of Canadians is launching a CLIMATE MATTERS! campaign on January 31st.
Spokesperson Ann Pohl says the first campaign event is an interactive virtual workshop of the En-ROADS global climate policy simulator.
According to Climate Interactive, En-ROADS is a global climate simulator that allows users to explore the impact of roughly 30 policies—such as electrifying transport, pricing carbon, and improving agricultural practices—on hundreds of factors like energy prices, temperature, air quality, and sea level rise.
The virtual workshop will take place over Zoom on Tuesday, January 31st, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. You can register online here.
Pohl says this is the first CLIMATE MATTERS campaign for the Kitchissippi-Ottawa Valley Chapter as they will have workshops, sessions and events planned every month.
