After three years apart, the Ottawa Valley Tourist Association is getting back together.
They’re holding a tourism conference and annual general meeting at the Maplehaus Banquet Hall in Hardwood Lake on April 25th.
It’s the first appearance in the Township of Brudnell, Lyndoch, and Raglan. for the full day conference, which will offer members, tourism stakeholders, and community leaders a chance to network while also learning about a new culinary tourism strategy for the Ottawa Valley.
Participants will get updates from the Ontario’s Highlands Tourism Organization, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, as well as elect a new board of directors for the OVTA.
This year’s keynote speaker is industry expert Altaf Sovani, who will discuss the impact of labour shortages in the tourism industry and how to recruit, retain, and motivate millennials.
The cost to attend is $76.50 per person plus tax, with registration available online.
