Producer and CEO, Ish Theilheimer is a writer, organizer, musician and composer who lives in Golden Lake and has written or co-written many of the company’s productions since co-founding the Stone Fence Theatre company in 2002. Stone Fence Theatre is a non-profit charity founded in October 2002 dedicated to cultural, heritage and economic development in the Ottawa Valley. Their home performance venue is the Rankin Culture & Recreation Hall, 15 minutes south of Pembroke on Highway 41, although they perform in many places around the Ottawa Valley. The mandate is to foster artistic, heritage and historic awareness by developing and producing theatre, music, dance, storytelling and comedy in, of, and about the Ottawa Valley. Over the years and particularly this summer, Theilheimer is taking the show Tom Thomson and the Colours of Canada, around the Ottawa Valley and raising money for local hospitals. Stone Fence Theatre is touring the musical performance in support of regional hospitals as it did with the show, “High Times at the Heart Institute” several seasons ago. Which raised money for the Ottawa Heart Institute. Ish tells myFM that his love for theatre never dies and he’s also looking to create the next generation of actors and producers. He says generating additional money for local hospitals is a no brainer. Below is the list of the upcoming shows:
