Saturday’s Community Connect Eganville Expo will be all about knowing the people in our community.
Organizer Lisa Guadamuz has brought together 32 vendors from the area so residents can meet and connect not only with commercial services but with community services as well.
A local business owner herself, Guadamuz says the people behind the businesses, social and community groups, and not-for-profits in the Eganville area are a tight-knit group with connections that, in some cases, go back their entire lives.
She had a chance to get together with some of the vendors ahead of Saturday’s event, and shares with us a surprising revelation that came after they all had the chance to introduce their services and programs with the rest of the group.
The floorplan is already laid out at the Eganville Arena, so last-minute vendor applications will not be taken.
However, that shouldn’t stop you from dropping by on the day of the event to network and collaborate.
Admission from 8:30am to 3:30pm on Saturday, June 3rd, is by donation at the door, with a handful of local causes being supported through the Expo’s efforts.
She also sends a big thank you to the Community Connect Eganville Expo’s sponsors for helping cover part of the fees for the 12 not-for-profits taking part.
