The Renfrew Roots Music Festival is now less than a month away as local talent and sponsors continue to get on board.
Renfrew’s events coordinator, Jenna McEwan, says that you don’t want to miss your chance to see a ton of local musical acts at Ma-te-Way Park on July 14th and 15th.
She’s also proud to announce that Whitewater Brewing Company has signed on as their official Festival beer sponsor, with a few other local businesses partnering up with Renfrew Roots who will be announced as we get closer to the event.
Tickets are on sale right now through Town Hall and online, with a one-day pass available for $65 for Friday, July 14th, or $80 for Saturday, July 15th. If you can’t decide between either, get the full two-day experience for $125.
McEwan says their focus with Renfrew Roots was to have every act performing have ties to the Ottawa Valley, adding something new to the former Bluegrass Festival.
Changes to Renfrew’s annual music festival have left some local fans on the fence, but McEwan says that a successful first run of Renfrew Roots could see the return of a few amenities that they had come to enjoy at the Bluegrass Festival.
Most notably, on-site camping will not be happening this year due to logistics and insurance concerns. However, she says that it’s not off the table for the event down the road.
Until then, McEwan says that the Renfrew Roots organizing committee has a solution for getting to and from Ma-te-Way.
Jason Blaine, The Abrams, and the River Town Saints headline a packed group of acts, all with ties to the Ottawa Valley, on July 14th and 15th.
Tickets are available right now at Town Hall, online through Ticketscene, as well as at the gates during the event.
