Ice cream lovers across Canada are eagerly awaiting August 10th – it’s DQ Miracle Treat Day.
The funds raised through Miracle Treat Day make a tangible difference in the lives of children locally, providing much needed funding for specialized care, and equipment.
myFM news spoke with Chris Newcombe, the General Manager of Dairy Queen in Petawawa, on what the day is all about, and the best personal practices to help the cause.
The tradition of DQ Miracle Treat Day has been going strong for over 30 years, with every Dairy Queen location in Canada participating. As part of the Children’s Miracle Network’s national campaign, proceeds from the sale of all blizzards on this day will be donated to local children’s hospitals across the country.
So treat yourself, grab a delicious Blizzard, and be part of this heartwarming cause to support local children’s hospitals and bring smiles to the faces of those who need it most.
Newcombe adds some of the events being held locally between the Pembroke and Petawawa Locations.
It’s a perfect treat to enjoy following all the summer heat we’ve been enjoying. cool yourself off while warming your heart with DQ Miracle Treat Day!
