Ontario Opposition Leader Marit Stiles becomes the first NDP leader to visit Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke since the 1999 Provincial Election, and local new dippers are excited.
Stiles get-acquainted session will be a busy one on Monday (August 28th) involving farm tours and meetings with service providers, municipal leaders and businesses locally.
The Davenport MPP was acclaimed in the role this past February, replacing Andrea Horvath- who is now Mayor of Hamilton.
Says Stiles, “I am excited to learn from the wonderful individuals I meet here and advocate for their concerns at Queen’s Park.”
Kurt Stoll, 2022 Provincial Election Candidate and NDP riding association Vice-President notes that having Marit Stiles coming to the riding shows (his party) made an impact in the last election and that Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke is important to the NDP.”
