Another focal point of Pembroke’s arboretum was officially reviled over the weekend. The waterfall feature that has been in the works for many years was presented to dozens in attendance on Saturday afternoon. myFM spoke with Fred Blackstein who is the driving force behind the arboretum, and he tells us that they had a goal in mind and he feels they succeeded.
The waterfall is dedicated to the front line and emergency personnel. myFM News was able to catch with up Pembroke Fire Chief Scott Selle who says it’s quite the honor.
The waterfall feature is motion activated and will run for 10 minutes when someone approaches. We also spoke to Stan Halliday, the President of the Pembroke Legion who played a part in getting this project finished.
McCrae Excavating donated their time to help put all the pieces together for the feature.
