Police from the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating the theft of a cash donation box from a restaurant counter on Pembroke Street East in Pembroke.
In a Thursday afternoon press release, police say that on Jan. 22, just after 9 p.m., an unknown individual entered the business and stole a hospital donation box.
The person fled on foot and was last seen southbound on Catherine Street, OPP say.
Police have released a photo of the suspect, who is described as approximately 5-feet, 6 inches tall, with a medium build. They were carrying a black backpack and wearing glasses, dark clothing, and a hoodie.
