‘The 48’: Don’t miss events in Pembroke and area

Here is a quick snapshot of what’s happening around town in the next 48 hours.

The 2024 Snospree events are starting today and running until February 5th, filled with thrilling events and unforgettable experiences. You can find the packed-fill schedule on the City of Pembroke website under recreation and culture. Check out what fun activities will be going on throughout the week. You can find many activities that suits you and your family.

The City of Pembroke’s public skating program runs until March at the Pembroke Memorial Centre (393 Pembroke St. W.).

Please note that:

Skating is open to everyone
We recommend you use CSA approved helmets when skating
You must bring your own skates
Limited Skate aids are available for use
Hockey sticks and nets are prohibited during public skating

Cribbage, Coffee, Crochet & Chat is on today at the Petawawa Public Library. Stop by the Library Rotary Room on a Thursday afternoon. Bring along your coffee or have one on us and join in a game of cribbage, do some colouring, crocheting or just have a chat! Drop in anytime between 12:30 and 2:30pm.

The Get W.I.T.H. It (Walk in the Halls) program offers the chance to walk in a warm, safe, and fun environment during the winter months! The program is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. It’s held at Mackenzie School in Deep River and no pre-registration required. The program runs every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00-7:30 pm.

U11 House League – The Barry’s Bay Bears visit Muskrat in Beachburg tonight at 6. Petawawa welcomes Renfrew to the Civic Centre at 6.

U13 House League – Muskrat visits Renfrew at 6.

U15 Competitive – Petawawa heads to Renfrew for 6:30

The Lumber Kings look to make it two wins in a row Friday night when they visit the Smiths Falls Bears. Game time is 7:30 and that’s a broadcast game here on myFM.
