Deep River and District Health (DRDH) is pleased to announce outstanding levels of patient and resident satisfaction, affirming the organization’s commitment to providing compassionate care. The achievement spans services from the Deep River and District Hospital, Four Seasons Lodge Long-Term Care Home, to the North Renfrew Family Health Team (NRFHT).
The 2023 survey showcased the Four Seasons Lodge with a remarkable 77% overall satisfaction rate, including a notable 95% for the respect and responsiveness of the direct care team. NRFHT’s person-centered care received praise, with 91% feeling involved in treatment decisions, and 98% comfortable discussing health concerns.
Digital patient surveys for the Medical Inpatient Unit and Emergency Department at Deep River and District Hospital received remarkable responses. In the Medical Inpatient Unit, 100% of patients reported satisfaction with team responsiveness and communication. The Emergency Department received praise with 93% feeling treated with courtesy, over 90% feeling listened to carefully, and 96% satisfied with time spent by nursing and physicians.
Janice Bunge, DRDH Patient and Family Advisory Council Co-Chair, expressed delight at the exceptional satisfaction levels, emphasizing DRDH’s commitment to compassionate care. DRDH Board Chair, David Cox, applauded the positive feedback, and Janna Hotson, DRDH President and CEO, expressed pride in the remarkable results, highlighting the positive impact on the community’s health and well-being.
