A three-vehicle crash that closed a portion of Highway 17 and sent two people to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries on Tuesday remains under investigation, police say.
Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a three-vehicle collision on Highway 17 in Laurentian Hills Township.
The collision occurred on Feb. 27, around 10:20 a.m. on Highway 17 between Plant Road and Fields Road.
“Preliminary investigation indicates that an eastbound Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) collided with an eastbound pickup truck. The CMV then struck a westbound pickup truck and came to rest in the ditch,” reads an OPP press release.
A section of Highway 17 between Plant Road and Fields Road was closed for about three hours due to the collision. Police say the incident remains under investigation.
