The sale of #TeamMartinat stickers will support Eganville Public School Teacher Jeila Martinat, who is facing cancer for the second time.
Eganville District Public School and the greater community is rallying around one of its own who is experiencing cancer for the second time.
Mme. Jeila Martinat is a mother of two and a treasured member of the school and community and a #TeamMartinat sticker fundraising campaign will support her and her family.
Eganville District Public School teacher Amy Bernard works alongside Martinat and also grew up with her.
The #TeamMartinat sticker campaign began with hockey helmet stickers on Martinat’s son’s team.
All this week at the school’s first nutrition break students can bring in cash donations to pre-order their stickers. Once donations and orders have been collected, stickers will be made and distributed.
Seeing the community come forward with their support has been great, said Bernard.
“We’ve had much more outpouring than we thought and we’re so grateful for all of the support from everyone,” said Bernard.
